I bet it won't be long before Yvette presses for the school leaving age to be raised to 21 and for everyone who is unemployed for six months or more to be pressed into semi-permanent workfare "work
experience" schemes and not hence counted as being in receipt of Jobseeker's Allowance. These two measures could slash the headline figure for official unemployment at a stroke! The trouble with
sweeping dirt under the carpet is that eventually it decays and stinks to high heaven!
