Liam Byrne

Liam Byrne, Labour MP for Birmingham Hodge Hill, is Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and minister for the Cabinet Office. In these capacities he is responsible for the co-ordination of policy across government departments. He was previously Minister of State for Borders and immigration, where he was responsible for enacting Labour's points-based immigration system. He was also the minister behind legislation to introduce ID cards to the UK.
