due to the 'International' crisis my pension fund has halved so now unless I invest in 'riskier' markets I am at rsk of penury in my retirement.

Why not just tax poor people less? Get the government out of their wallets in the first place?
What real difference has Sure Start made apart from a number of taxpayer-leeching non-jobs?
